One Virus SW-80 Aircraft crashed 13. january 2026 at NDA, Khadakwasla Pune.
The Aircraft was on a routine Air Experience Sortie. The Pilot experienced turns becoming tighter and there was no response from Control Stick. As the ac was heading towards the runway, Pilot deployed the rescue parachute, and the aircraft crash landed on the northern shoulder of runway. All three under Carriages broke along with the Tail Boom and Propeller shearing off. Both aircrew are safe.
One more Virus SW-80 Aircraft crashed 21. january 2026 at Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. The Aircraft was on a routine Sortie. It was told that the Pilot reported Engine Failure before deploying the rescue parachute. The aircraft landed o in a pound (shallow water body). Both aircrew are safe. This brought the total number of rescued persons to 136. Video added to videoreport
